Meet Dr Jones 

Dr. Jones is originally from Safford, a small town in southeast Arizona. After serving a two-year mission for his church, Dr. Jones earned an associate degree in general studies from Eastern Arizona College. In 2008 he attended Arizona State University where he graduated cum lade with a bachelor’s degree in biology.

In 2011, Dr. Jones and his wife moved across the country to attend dental school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. After graduation, he worked as a General Dentist in a private practice in Johnson City, Tennessee, before deciding to pursue a career in oral surgery. 

In 2019, Dr. Jones began his residency at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, initially as a non-categorical intern. However, he made such an impression on his superiors that his intern year was turned into a true intern year, an unprecedented decision in the program’s history. He went on to serve as Chief Resident in 2022-2023 and completed his residency in 2023. 

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Jones has remained dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing his knowledge and skills in the field of dentistry. He is committed to continuing his education and staying up to date on the latest advancements in oral surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his family and is dedicated to beating his record of completing the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle of 40,320 pieces. 

In addition to his work as an oral surgeon, Dr. Jones is an experienced piano player and is actively involved in his church. He most recently ran his first Dopey Challenge in Walt Disney World, which resulted in a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon in 4 consecutive days. His goal is to visit every US National Park.
